That's from the demise of Watkins Shepard. They used to be a reliable source of new drivers. Ce la vie!

Lease purchase is the worst,NFI was,and probably still is famous for scamming drivers.Just about the time your paid off, sorry,no loads.Drivers are just collateral damage, loose 1, got100 more that'll do it cheaper.

I think the majority of seasoned drivers are hip to the gimmick thing and like myself approaching retirement are happy and settled where they are and arnt budging or even looking .
I wouldn't bring my dog with to see a recruiter lol.

It doesn’t matter which order-you’re screwed either way.

I seen the back of one company’s trailer say “we hire you to retire you”..... sounds a bit ominous....

..You got to ask yourself why a company that has like 300 trucks needs to advertise $3k sign on bonus & pay to get you to an interview? Another started by the father run by the son company that wants to treat you like a family member & pay you like the black sheep of the family.
If you are a trucking company that claims to have the latest tech & all the metrics on a drivers productivity, then why do you still pay by the mile?

How about the outfit with a giant arrow pointing to the drivers head proclaiming that they are the company's most important freight. They must deadhead a lot.

Bait and switch is one the mega companies do all the time. They promise a recruit a dedicated run. Then at orientation, they tell him that position is now gone, and they will have to do OTR.
