    sorry but I disagree
and don't really care what you think. being careless with alcohol is a by product of drinking the alcohol which kills your dumb brain cells.

false assumption. i dont drink but i also mind my own business. if the driver pulls up in a rig and the clerk at the store sees what he was driving, the clerk should be able to refuse to sell him or her alcohol. furthermore, truck stops should not be able to have liquor license. i do not believe they should take beer into their truck but im not the cops. its none of my concern.

dont drink and drive a truck, that's just extra stupid. you could end up like this guy. he WAS one of our drivers...... past tense. he no longer drives.

Being careless with truck stop food is a by product of eating the truck stop food which kills everything else on top of the aforementioned brain cells.

In the state of Utah, there is a groundswell of entities working on getting the laws changed to stop selling 3.2 beer. The retailers want to sell full strength beer. Currently it is only available in state stores or pub/bar/restaurants. One of the big supporters of this is Wal-Mart.
    Go figure that.

Company policy probably prohibits all booze across the board open or not..

Far as DOT.. 500 posts here and zero answers..

My guess. Closed ok.. Open container when officially shut down for a 10 or 34?

Surprised never seen that question and answer before.

It’s hard to get a straight answer on a lot of forums, this one included. To many people are to fast to get up on their high horse and spew the B/s they think is law. (With no acutal proof of what they’re saying). Just look in the drug testing sub forum, it’s full of posts of people being absolutly berated with no actual factual answers given. Heck every post in the o/o sub forum of “I want to buy a truck” starts with how much money do you have in the bank? Then then our wonderful members go full rere on berating the Op from there. Very few of them actually get a real answer and to get that, they have to suffer thru 2 or 3 pages of know it all nitwits.

No you should mind your business, there not driving, there parked. If they are driving down the road thats one thing, but if they are parked mind your own business

This can be frustrating. Largest reason is how the FMCSA writes those rules. Take alcohol. You are not supposed to have alcohol in your tractor while on duty. However its perfectly ok if you are on PC and going home. Im not going to get into the OO part of it because I have never done it. As to the regs in general my feeling is post a link or state firmly it is an opinion.
