One benefit of living in the north east is that you’re in demand. Many companies and drivers won’t go to New England. Leave that for people who know it.

you may be home today, my question would be, do you have to go out Christmas night..??
i worked for a company that got me home christmas eve, but I HAD to go back out christmas night..
that didn't settle well with me, given all that running i did for them.
there are NO BENEFITS to living here in the north east...
let me see if i can count the reasons why...
1) high gasoline prices
2) high home heating oil prices
3) high auto insurance prices
4) high housing prices, both rentals and purchasing
5) high food prices
6) high taxes
7) congested areas
8 ignorant people
9) stupid people
10) lousy elected officials
11) tolls
12) prudish/puritan laws
13) cold, ice, snow
14) massive amounts of road salts to rot away that expensive car, truck, SUV that you own.
15) many more, but i need my morning nap now.......austinmike, Swedish Chef, Vic Firth and 7 others Thank this. -
We have 3 of us at this terminal. You could pull what one does on holidays. Oddly, one of his relatives dies.
When I did trash. One year all my apartments were due Christmas Day. They’re 3 times a week. Thought I’d get them all Xmas eve. I got home at 9:30pm on Xmas eve. Looked at the dumpsters at my apartments. They were all overfilled and spilling on the ground.
Yup... they were right. I just don’t fit in.Mike2633, Woodys, buddyd157 and 1 other person Thank this. -

The premise is wrong. You work for a company that only gives you 1 day off, that's not a benefit of living in the northeast. I live in the southeast.... I'm home and off until Jan 3rd

I don't know, www.lasvegassun.com keeps up with all that sports stuff. For other entertainment it's www.lasvegasmagazine.com
This is a great place to live though; no regrets after moving here. Even today people outside in shorts and tee shirts. -
Very little benefit as a trucker. You take loads into NE, unload and deadhead out and load for west coast.
The NE still retains certain places I cherish for historical and other preservation as well as food etc and people. Very good. But the south is a much cheaper and easier way of living in today's overpriced society.
I'll run the NE because that is my old stomping grounds from 21 and did not know any better. But I would not make a home there. Lancaster would be the closest in PA I might. Or up in Luke Md. Or further west. -
The good about the NE is no matter where you go it's an improvement
Woodys Thanks this.
