I become a witch on wheels in December, I hold their feet to the fire everyday...that's the way I get my 15 days off every Christmas. Other holidays they know I either work thru them or I don't mind getting home time a little later, but December is huge for me, and so I get very very much holding them to hometime policy. Yep I got it worked out every year I get Dec 20th to Jan 4 off...lol. Like I say the other holidays of the year aren't as important to me, but don't mess with my Decembers/Christmas

I just got home for Xmas. :)
It seriously doesn't matter to me. It does matter if I'm expected to sit around, out of town, for 5 days around Xmas. And not get paid for it. I ain't no ministry.
I've worked Xmas before. I joke around with anyone who works the holidays. On Thanksgiving ya gotta wear a Turkey Costume. Xmas is a Santa Claus outfit. New Years... at midnight, strip down to a diaper and that's all. :)

Home for me is Northeast Georgia. I no longer drive anything today. It's a major battle for me to get there and have mobility. I will be spending some time helping the homeless and doing what I can here. Besides, I guess my real home is Virginia now.

I kill to be home on Xmas. That will never change, don't ask. My Pop, gawd rest his soul, was not so fortunate.

When I was still single and it was just me & the dog, it didn't really matter to me much where I was...so I'd usually volunteer to run so that those with families could be home with them. Now I have a wife & kid, and my place on any holiday is with them. Jobs are a dime a dozen, but I've only got one family.

Judging by your selfie in your signature. Hard to believe you have difficulty doing anything?
You really do look great! :) Overly healthy! :)

I could be home if I wanted to be, but I chose to stay out on the road this Christmas. My husband is in another country and I don't have any family or friends in our area to celebrate with. So being home alone and not being with the ones I love would be depressing, so I begged my dispatcher to keep me out and rolling this year.
