Not everyone smokes! Tobacco is the most addictive drug in existence and a major health crisis. It is shocking to me how in an industry that is so strict about all other substance abuse that everyone turns a blind eye to this one. If you can't make it through your work day without tobacco, without exposing your co-workers to it against their will you are an addict! You are causing your companies healthcare premiums to skyrocket, you are at an increased risk of causing accidents and people don't want you around them because your behavior is making them sick.

Funny to see this old thread brought back to life. Companies only ask because they try to pair students and trainers together that smoke. I have smoked for over 20 years and have no issue if anyone ask me. I remember when you could walk into 98% of truck stops and smoke almost anywhere you want. Now almost every truck stop is smoke free. I have no problem with this. I don't smoke in my house or personal vehicle. I do smoke in the truck and twice a week I would wipe down all the surfaces in the truck and use Febreze twice daily. I never smoked in the bunk, just the driver seat with the window cracked. You would be surprised how that will keep your truck clean, my DM who was a non-smoker never complained. People are going to smoke, just have some respect for those around you.

I'm not trying to start a debate.

I'm saying that whether you get cancer or get your face blown off, it's all bad and won't get much worse.
And since there has yet to be truly long term studies with vaping, there is no telling the long term effects aside from it exploding.
