Dropped there twice and never had an issue getting the signed/dated last page... guess I’ve been lucky.

In our sector the linehaul drones are constantly skipping post trip inspections. At the end of the shift it’s fairly simple to find the culprit that stuck another driver with flat tires or something, but if it happens mid-shift for there to be any accountability one terminal manager often has to contact another and that’s usually where it stops.

Out of curiosity can they go home earlier without the breaks? Do you have to stay later because of their breaks? Maybe they’re on their thirty minute break. Maybe using the restroom.

When you come here you will have a lot of built in breaks. That will be in the port. My favorite break is waiting for the train to clear out. Watching it go forward for awhile. Then backwards for awhile. Then forward again.

I got off track from whatever I was talking about. I have said before though it takes a certain amount of insanity to do this job.

What did I say. Oh never mind.

Hopefully you will fare better then me when you get reacquainted with the manual. The company has said they will be buying no more automatics.

LOL! Not talking about the ones taking a few minutes here and there (everyone does), or their 30. I’m talking about the ones who hide in the back of the yard showing driving, or that live unload and drive to the truck stop and stay an hour or two and then put in their mty call. Or the one that left Givens an hour before me that I caught up to in Windsor and then he stopped at the convenience store and arrived back at the yard 3 hours later. 1 load-all day. I’ve even been told to slow down and smell the roses. I want to get it done and go home. Most are expected to work 10-12-14 hours a day, regardless of how much they do. My deal is a little different.

In his defense, he probably figured out he couldn’t fit.
