Merry Christmas and happy New Year everyone.
I keep fearing something will go wrong. Probably just anxiety.
I’m sure hoping to do better than $50k my first year. Just planning on a week off in March. Do taxes and? Then? Considering running straight through second and third quarter. Get that miles bonus. I’ll see how it goes.
I’m looking forward to the 7th.
Present company is trying to keep me. Leaving this morning for SC. This is my last run. Talk they may have two trucks dedicated to that run. No thanks. I’ve heard enough talk. I’m leaving.

Breaking the 50k mark is completely doable. I was on track to break 60k the way I was running and left right when my better pay was going to kick in. Thats still easily doable doing what Im doing now and as I move up the pay scale, only gets easier.
WesternPlains and CJ701 Thank this. -
Great Plains, you'll do fine. There will be trips where you have no choice but to take a reset or a day off because of appt's or weather or run out of hours. The miles and money are definitely there. The big thing (and the thing drivers like) is learning to keep the planners updated on your availability and hours when you have a delivery appt. I have to go back through orientation and will see you on the 7th as well as meeting the big group if trainees coming in that day...it's going to be a big class! See you there! I'm taking Amtrak in and will get there about 0330 Sunday.

I can’t believe my first day of the year. Sitting on the coast of South Carolina. Waiting to deliver in the morning.
It is so warm here. I had to change to short sleeve T shirt, short pants, and flip flops.CJ701 Thanks this. -
