They are hiring in my area. Pay scales vary with location but avg around $21-29 a hour. How is it working for them and what are the typical duties?
Thanks

What city are u in? Is it local? I worked for the usps in Atlanta and i must say it was wonderful except for the split off days. Not sure if its nationwide but all drivers that work for the post office, no matter what sub company you go through, get paid around the same amount. No insurance usually but they pay about 4.73 extra for 40 hrs so you can get your own insurance. After 40 hrs you get paid a rate set by the usps that every other year they vote on whether or not to raise of lower the rate.
Not all but most drivers unload and load the trucks with pushable bins. Any pallet the other workers load. I had fun!! Cool lil female clerks. #cbf4liferowekmr and Mooseontheloose Thank this. -

My buddy works for the location near Los Angeles (socal) he says it's easy as heck only downside is he's a casual and only gets 6 hours a night. So unless your wife can support you or you have another source of income it can be hard for the first few years until you become permanent
rowekmr Thanks this. -
I applied for Chicago and nearby suburbs and Hammond, IN.
I had interview and was told 39 hours any shift any route. Benefits after 90 days of probation and chance for permenant spot with attrition which can be months to years. Permenant spot entails bid for tour/shift, off days and routes.
