Not really. I’m pretty sure he photoshopped his picture into the car. I could be wrong but I don’t think so.

Just a generalization as a majority of CMV's are rated for 40 tons.

A buddy of mine always talks about all the drivers he sees with their seats up so high you can see their thighs and their heads disappear up above the top of the window frame. And they've all got their feet on the dash. So I've started looked, and I have to say there are a lot more drivers out their with their stinky sock in sandal foot up on the dash than I ever imagined. WTH is wrong with drivers?

God help the family's of those children. Here's a big time wake up call, always give your steer tires a good look. And check yourself,if your not ready to be out there, tired, stressed, intoxicated, for God's sake and everyone else, take a break, there's no freight worth dying or worse killing anyone else.As far as tickets go,you can't judge without knowledge, his tickets could have been in a four wheeler, and at this point what's the difference unless you're trying to assign blame. My prayers go out to his family, money's not going to make this right.

That didn't take long. They haven't even completed the investigation and determined the actual cause (like steer tire or other mechanical failure) I wonder if the lawyer followed the police to the family's home when they were coming to tell them the bad news...

What the police and/or NTSB find in their investigations is irrelevant in the minds of the plaintiffs party(s). They will do their own "investigation". But the fact a "big truck" and a carrier was directly involved is all they needed to see to decide to quickly file the suit. Extraneous causes that may or may not exist are not a consideration or a concern.

And like the bus crash in New Mexico where there existed the possibility a steer tire may have blown, we have not and will not ever see the final investigation results and ruling because the bureaucracy is sooooooo sloooooooww. And eventually it just "goes away"

From NTSB involving NM Bus/truck crash

All the lives impacted, and they can't even give them a straight answer, very sad.

Until the government shut down ends there will be no NTSB investigation of this one. All FHP and FDOT.
