Need to jam something with a little more horse in there, an old greyhound bus with an 8v92 and a 4 speed will do 80 pulling a 90s suburban, shifting that 4 speed through the roughly 40 feet of linkages is a trick though.

Not interested in making her go any faster. Her steering is far to soft for higher speeds, plus you sit 5 feet in front of the steerers, which makes the drive more challenging. Greyhounds are built for long distance speed. Bluebirds are built to haul children safely, slowly to school. We'd love to have a Greyhound but I haven't seen any under 35ft, already tricked out to be an RV and ready to go...so we stick with our slow, safe, Bluebird.

Where I live is tourist central. Why are campers driving slowly? It is fairly obvious, they want to rubber neck with out stopping. Very few of them will make use of the states pull out stops and let the line of traffic go by.

In the winter, route one is 50 mph
In the summer, route one we are lucky to do 40 mph. Otherwise it can be 20mph.
