First week of training with my first company enjoying the company and the work so far. I'm 6'4" about 260 with my duffle at the end of the bunk I'm pretty much knees to chest kinda. Really looking forward to my own truck and some space haha

I don't know your duffle bag size , mine is 35' and I turn my side ways. That gives my legs room . I'm 6'3' 230 lbs

I can stretch out an put my feet on the bag it's OK for a little while but makes my knee tighten up after a bit. Will be a lot easier when I can actually put stuff away

Leave your bag on the floor or on the passenger seat while sleeping. Didn’t your trainer offer you at least one of the trucks cabinets? I always gave my students at least one big cabinet to unload their bag into.

We have to live together for 3 plus weeks, we both need to be comfortable.

I’d ask your trainer if there is any other options for you. Hopefully he’s chill about it.

    Tb0n3 and Lepton1 Thank this.

Be glad you're not training in a 579 Pete. Sleeper is a mid-roof, but still a double bunk. Kinda resembles the bunks on a navy ship.

WTF? So your trainer is not just an ###, but a complete ###.

I offered storage for students I trained. If they simply had a duffle bag and didn’t want to bother with unpacking. I had them stick it on the jump seat when we shut down for the night.

Getting a good nights rest is half the battle. Whether you’re a student or on your own.
