Hello,
I've had my DOT and CDL for about 18+ months and I only use my truck as a private hauler. I'm insured with Progressive.
I have a step deck and belly dump. Belly Dump work is pretty busy here in Colorado but I know its slower in the winter. Considering doing step deck work until dump work picks up towards the summer.
I'm looking for a bigger policy (1 Million or 2 million) that I can use to work for hire. Hoping I can make more money.
Does anyone have a trusted insurance referral thats cheaper than Progressive? Progressive wants $12,000 a year for 1 million with 150K cargo policy.

Appreciate your consideration. -
Try the Wilson Group somewhere in TN. But that far away they may not be able to help you.

I just got quoted from a new insurance broker I figured let’s see what they have to offer, they came back at 12,000. Now i been an O/O since 1984 so it not my first rodeo. I mentioned to them that my regular agent quoted me 7,500 for the same exact coverage. There answer, let me get back with you, I need to call the underwriters.

I have been driving bobtail trucks for over 20 years but just got my CDL last year, my boss has a lease truck and is willing to let me use it for a new route but I need to get myself insured for it with $1,000,000 coverage, no freight coverage needed. Does anyone have any tips or companies they could shoot my way?Thank you in advance!
