I could tell you a place I think you might like. But I look at that as 2 guys in a bar. And I tell you to take the ugly woman. Cuz I think you’ll like her better.

And there’s a lot of ugly companies out here. I know, I’ve dated many of them ;)

I’m a lease operator for Prime and it’s mixed here... been here for 6 months almost to the day. As far as a lease goes, your looking at about $1300 a week fixed expenses plus variables. My average weekly expense is about $2500 including fuel. Now, average revenue on a week is about $4-$5k. Means your taking to the bank about $1500 to $2k a week. Now take 20% right off top for taxes, and then set up some sort of emergency fund/hometime fund, leaves between $1000 and $1500 for the pocket. This being said, keep in mind that if you miss cut off date on a long load you may actually go -$200 to -$1000 in the hole, but your next check will typically be about $1500 more than average.

Pros: Plenty of dispatch time. Example I picked up yesterday in Virginia and drop in Utah on the 19th by midnight. So you can run hard and take time for yourself at end of run before drop or you can take it easy and drive 400 to 450 miles a day. Many loads you can drop up to 48 hours early.

Great community support: Over all Prime drivers and staff are super friendly and more than willing to help out anyway they can. Even the company owner Bob Low gives out his personal cell number to any driver who asks.

Easy to get in, easy to get out: Orientation lasts about 3 days and generally in a truck within a week ready to roll, you pick truck between years 2016 to brand new, Freightliner, Peterbilt, International and even some Volvo and KWs now.

Walk away lease: You can turn your truck in at any time and leave, only thing you lose is the lease completion bonus as long as you didn’t tear the truck up. If you return truck to a terminal and leave in good standings, able to return at anytime.

Cons: If you get unlucky and get one of the very few dispatchers, your kinda stuck with them. Hard to change dispatchers.

Cost: You pay a little more for lease than you would with some other companies, but truck/trailer/insurance is all wrapped into one payment. I pay $955 a week for a 2017 Shaker.

Time down kills you, a single big delay can make the difference of making $1500 in the bank or being negative. Same with hometime, I counter this by turning in my last trip on Wednesday of the week I take off (pay dates from Tuesday to Tuesday) so that on the week I take off I’m still putting a few hundred in the bank and not $1500 in the hole upon returning, I know I’m getting money that next week.

Hope this helps and if you have questions feel free to ask.

Ask it’s not forced dispatch, you can turn down any load for any reason. Only thing here is if you turn down 3 loads back to back then you sit for 24 hours.

Here's 2 more you can check; both coast to coast reefer outfits and you're qualified as a driver:
Schuster - www.schusterco.com - their big account is Blue Bunny Ice Cream that loads in LeMars, Iowa. Website shows a terminal in Aurora,CO.
FFE (Frozen Food Express) - www.ffeinc.com - @TravR1 works there. Website shows a terminal in Denver.

Yeah this is great info I am definitely Leary if the lease thing after all the horror stories but if it’s a true walk away lease then sounds like it’s not to bad . But with only 6 months I don’t think I will qualify for the lease program yet right ? If not how is there company side ?
