Top 5 West TX Sand Hauler Outfits

Your best bet is just go there (Midland/Odessa) and talk to sand haulers sitting in truck stops. I went there years ago checked out a few companies then stopped in that Pilot at exit 129. I got a cup of coffee and there were some drivers standing around talking about a well that was down. They were Silverline drivers. I started there a few days later. It wasn't the greatest company (got a little worse when Rockwater bought them out) but they taught me how to haul sand then left me alone to make some $$$. I was there over two years, guess i got lucky. I worked for a couple more outfits over the next few years before the slowdown in 16'. Each company has good and bad, but some things are common: really long hours, some fast trucks (my avatar is my last Rockwater truck, governed at 85), there are lots of jerks down there but there are some really good people too like (Horizon Transportation, Midland). Last time i was in Pecos there was only the one sand hauling outfit doing EOG wells,Chalk mtn, i would steer clear of those guys. Good luck to you.

They're closing down all their yards except for the one in Kermit.

I can say that it's not a traditional or typical employer in the oilfield.
