My my things have changed.

I'll leave aside my own attitude towards the darn things. The smart phone app looks like a good solution. I like to tinker with computer stuff. But I know I play at it and frankly my thought should be taken with a grain of salt.

 

God I hate those things, I hope I never have to be put on one. Especially the ones that email reports and track data.

Question upnorthwpg: that thing clearly states you've only slept for 6.23 hrs, yet we're required to be in sleeper berth for a minimum of 8 hours and the assumption is that we're getting at least 8 hours of (sex with lizards) *cough* SLEEP, per night. So would a readout like that (6.23) be used against you? And has anyone seen if there's actually a requirement for how much you actually SLEEP at night?

All I ever recall hearing is "well rested".

 

I guess it could be. I’m in Canada, we don’t have the same restrictions as the states. The only time I get 8 on it is on the weekends when I’m off. 5-6 a day is normal for me during the week. But yes, it could be used against you I guess. If it’s mandatory to show 8 hours sleep.

 

You get your data read from the place that sold you the CPAP.

 

The smart phone app won't work for what they want. The ResMed Software, like most other CPAP/APAP machines store your sleep information, you need the printout from it showing your usage for however many days they want. Hopefully your memory card is working.
You have a few options, ask whoever is asking for it if they have a Sleep Clinic nearby you can visit, all they need is the memory card and they can print it out. Your should have a cellular modem on it, and whoever sold it to you should have access to what your machine has done, and provide you with a pdf or printout of the usage, and can either email or fax it. I used to have mine faxed every month to show I was compliant, which is what you will probably need to have done, so I would contact your sleep clinic, or where you bought it from.

 

what happen?

 

i know this is old, but i got put on one. the doc said as long as i show im averaging 4 hours a night, she wont report it to dot. she sends me a report every january.
