No it’s not. I’ve went down streets that has light poles closer than that. Hell I’ve been down streets that the light poles actually lean into the road.

OP that intersection is plenty big enough. You should have stopped for the car ;)

    Woodys and VinnyVincent Thank this.

That totally is a makeable turn. I am not disagreeing with you at all....I'm trying to steer his thinking...paying homage to your screen name

It does feel good to blame the sign, or the car, or listen to the mechanic say that the sign gets taken out monthly...but the reality is that I'll be running into these conditions on a regular basis and I take full responsibility for what happened. I should have noticed the car about to turn out of the gas station long before I began the turn and I should have stopped and waited once I saw him approaching the intersection. Without the car there, that would have been a very easy turn to negotiate.

I plan on giving my attorney time to clear this off my record and then passing the road test right after. That should be sometime around early March. I have to check back in two weeks to find out the court date. I currently have a driving test scheduled for March 11th.

My permit expires in early April, so I'll probably only have one shot at it. I'll be practicing right hand turns in the meantime lol

You’re going to run into situations like this, and much worse throughout your career. And you’ll have to deal with them on the fly and without guidance.

Youll gain experience and confidence as you go.

    Woodys Thanks this.
