I didn’t end up going to McLane. After all was said and done I was offered a job with ups freight, fed ex freight and xpo, along with McLane and yrc. I picked yrc freight. There was a bunch of angry old ######## there and I figured I’d fit right in. The environment is good, I just finished the 160 hour training program, and I’m a city driver so they have me peddling freight already. The guys are great, very helpful and I’ve learned a lot so far. It’s a laid back environment. All the other places seemed very strict. This place is just come to work do the right thing and nobody bothers you while your out. So far I like it.

Yep. Still Loving it for the most part. Hating the weather lately, though. Haha

Lol I hear ya. Still trying to get on at the hub near me that I work out of. Drivers there say wait till around march/April for something to come around. One of the largest hubs in the country so hopefully it pans out.

Yes. March/April will be the next round of seasonal/hires. Every spring and fall.

Interesting that you went with YRC out of all options...what made the decision easy for you? I'm guessing the hours...

Gives me hope if I do get the job. I have an interview with YRC and my only concern is the hours. I never dreamed of a possibility of working Mon thru Fri days with them as a new hire but you give me a sliver of hope lol....how are things going so far?
