There's 100's of them. Some most of us have never heard of until someone posts about it. Some are even hiring drivers with only a cdl permit, such as CEMAK Trucking in California. More and more companies are starting that program; pairing a cdl permit driver with a cdl driver, just to get a new driver in the pipeline for the near future.
The economy is booming is the reason.SilverBulletBand and Broke_and_Hungry Thank this. -
I think it is easier to keep track of the carriers that don't train. I agree with @Chinatown on this. You can count on most of the large carriers to train and the small ones "might".

Choose one with a terminal close to your home, and read as much about them on here as you can. Don't believe the BS that the recruiters tell you. Most of it is lies.

On this board, I believe Chinatown is a far better resource than a spreadsheet could be.

You'd be surprised who will hire you. My first job was with a small flatbed outfit. I thought it would be a "no" as soon as I walked in to apply because of insurance purposes (plus they had brand new trucks), but they were more than happy to take me on board. As long as you're not a knucklehead and show that you're willing to learn, just about anyone will hire you.

Hello,
Wondering if anyone in here has gone through the Estes driver trainee program? What's it like and is it worth it? I also read somewhere Estes might pick up new cdl holders depending on the terminal. Would this be P&D or regional job? Thank you in advance. -
So, what are the companies that will hire you with just the CDL-A permit then??
