How many miles on average does a Walmart drive in a typical work week?
Do you stay in a 200 mile radius of your home DC?
My DC ad quotes that your home 1 day a week plus a 34 hour restart not on the road. So your basically home 2 days a week correct?

Home 2 days unless you extend. I don't think anybody here stays within 200 miles of their home DC, unless it's the daycab guys that go home every night.

    Wdever Thanks this.

2500+ a week. Sleep in truck 4 nights at home 3 nights. Unless your on a 6-3 schedule like me then 5 nights in truck and 4 nights at home.

Personal preference but i would like to just run my dc. Usually if i pull more than one load for my dc it's a miracle.

I applied online on Monday 1/28/19 got email that it was recieved, I noticed a day or two later the post was taken down. Is there a number I need to call or something I can check online to check the status?

You should still be able to check your application status via drive4walmart. I think they still send out emails if you are no longer being considered for the position. Probably because they filled it with a transfer or earlier applicant

Forum just ate my post apparently, so sorry if this is a paraphrased repost!

I saw a drive4walmart sign on a trailer air dam while picking my nose at a stop light last week and decided what the hey, I'll put in an application. Less than a day later, news of Walmart's pay increase and hiring broke loose and I suppose they got a lot of applications. I got a call back on Monday whereas a significantly more qualified friend of mine (albeit approaching retirement age) was turned down. And today, barely a week after clicking submit, I have a conditional offer and an appointment in Bentonville on the 18th.

Any of you guys know if being too old (no offense to you old farts out there) is condition for being turned down? Or did I just have better timing?

Also, any insight you folks can give me about the Grove City DC would be appreciated. I've picked up empties there for a different company, but that's about all I've seen of it.

I have some retail delivery experience (food service and Target) so I have a good idea of what to expect on the road. Looking forward to joining the team!
