Thanks for letting us know. That's the kind of crap no driver should ever put up with. Let their freight sit on the dock.

They are owned by Nucor and Nucor doesn't give a crap about truckers, as a corporation. If you ever haul out of their plants, they consider themselves NOT responsible for ANY damage done to your equipment or ANY injury or death CAUSED BY THEM!! Their contract specifically states this and that is why I will never haul for them direct. If you haul any of their loads for a broker, you better make sure you didn't sign away any of your rights in the Indemnification Clause of the broker/carrier contract!!!! I know of one O/O that had a big forklift do irreparable damage to his flatbed and they would not pay for it. He suffered a total loss - just bc they are degenerates and don't care about YOU!!

If it’s your trailer, tell them i can tarp it in your building, not tarp it at all, or you can unload it. These are your only options. Never be afraid to tell a shipper to piss off.

They used to have a tarping station complete with a crane and spreader bar to lift your tarps up and over. They expected you to use it, slap a few bunjees on then pull out to button the tarp up. Did they do away with it or did you not see it?
