Any mover who is only pulling down 200k. Is doing far below average. As it broke and out of business but doesn't no it yet.

That's why I liked high dollar medicines so much, people get sick in good times and bad equally.

The gent sporting a huge purple hat with a white feather wearing shiny snake skin shoes lounging in a shiny caddy counting large amounts of money at your nearest truck stop seems to be doing quite well for himself these days.......... Perhaps he knows where all of the money to be made is?

“Kick it back to 26 for the real deal”

Making money OFF of drivers has its points.

However I just watched the clip someone posted.
    1) i dont no that guy, but I have seen him before. Maybe at a moving supply store, or at a agent making a delivery. I dont no movers all remember each other.
    2) that was an old clip (audio cassettes, old closed down truckstops)
    3) maybe back then 200k was good money. But ask any mover, I stand by what I said. Any OTR mover only knocking down 200k. Is broke and out of business. The expenses in this business are CRAZY. Example a 28,000lb job that fills the whole trailer. That job would take 3 or 4 days to pack and load.
You need to hire 3 or 4 men each day.
The guys last summer got on average $200 per man per day, plus gas and lunch. This summer it will be $225 (Excellent guys get more)
So thats gonna cost anywhere from $1800 to $3200. NOT including gas or lunch or tip. Just to get loaded.
That doesnt include supplies to do the job (boxes, tape, paper etc..) Then another crew for a day or two to unload, unpack, on the other end.

I know next to nothing about household goods moving. Are there usually just two guys in the tractor? I see some tractors pulling moving vans with these mongo sleeper berths that cause me to rubberneck, and I've been told four or five guys are in there.
