Guess I'll chime in so I don't get classified as MIA . Been a pretty boring week, we've been on standby for a bit waiting for a ship full of fertilizer to come in to Jax port, it's a Rush deal once its here, around 48 hours to haul 10,000 tons. I ran the night shift last night, and will put in a few hours tonight to get it finished up then hopefully back to normal for next week, so far it has been a very rough start to the year revenue wise which is keeping my patience in check on a daily basis, I hope this first quarter turns itself around and gives me a more positive outlook on 2019 moving forward. Stay safe
to all end dump haulers...

Well boys and girls I know I have been MIA. Just too busy. Years back I loaded a type of baseball clay in upstate N.Y for the Cincinnati Reds along with 5 others I had a sprinkle of sand in the floor then plastic. She froze solid. Spent the night in a heated shop, had a police escort to the ball field and dumped her out. The others were not so smart, one laid his over and the others were digging it out as I rode out of sight.
We've had some stupid weather here yesterday it was 81 degrees 81! Today it was in the 50's and going to be in the 30s tonight. Go figure!
My trailer has had a few loads in it that in other trailers froze to the sides. Not mine it slides right out clumps and all ROFLMBO.
Now just a warning to all.
I bought this Wink trailer and I am thrilled with it. However there have been and still are some issues with some welds that had/have to be welded. In October Jimmy Wink made the arrangements and set it up with a company here to do the repairs. He even came here to oversee and help do the repairs.
He has yet to pay the company and now they are going to file a lien on Wink for the money. He says he is broke and the company most likely going out of the trailer business. I myself will end up suing him for non performance pertaining to the warranty. So beware.Al. Roper, ChicagoJohn, motocross25 and 2 others Thank this. -
I'm still around as well, started out empty last week which killed all momentum I need to have a productive week. Being a home weekly driver, I need to unload and reload every day to make it worth my while to be out here, the previous week was a cluster which brought me in Thursday night empty, and no pre-load Friday.
With that said, I loaded in Plant City Monday and brought that out to Mobile for Tuesday, bounced up north of Montgomery and brought that back to NE Florida, reloaded a few miles from there and went back towards Evergreen and cruised back north to load back to central Florida. I pre-loaded Friday and have to leave tomorrow to be in Steele AL Monday morning, we all know how I feel about leaving Sunday, but we're cooking steaks as we speak so for now all is well in my world.NightWind, Al. Roper, blade and 1 other person Thank this. -
The last 6 weeks for me have been less than stellar between equipment breakdowns, weather, and just generally getting held up at shippers/receivers.
Hopefully the rates/loads pick up soon, this is my first winter driving trucks and it kinda sucks. LOL. -
@whosfate luckily I'm a SE driver so the weather hasn't played much of a role in the ups and downs so far, just been an oddly slow start to the year. I've been doing this a while and so far it has been the most unimpressive start to a new year I remember.
NightWind, Al. Roper, whosfate and 1 other person Thank this. -
@Trashtrucker1707 im glad to hear this is the worse you have seen. I hope I never see it again. @NightWind im truly sorry to hear bout your troubles. I’m glad you made a appearance in chat as well. I would offer to sell you my trailer but I doubt that would make things better. I really hope there’s a change for the better ahead for all of us. Hope everythas a wonderful weekend

I know a guy at Page that also tipped his trailer last week. He had a load of salt. Half broke loose the other half stuck and over the trailer went. He's now pulling the rental I turned in.
