That must not be very strictly enforced system wide. I see Sysco trailers all the time with trailer tandems in different places.

Cardfan89, jmz and Mike2633 Thank this.

Maybe. All I'm saying is that what terminal manager told me when I interviewed for Sysco couple months back.

sliding tandems is sop when i hook a new trailer. 48s go to the back and i’ll be honest i usually leave the 53s a couple holes too long. it seems like every trailer i get from a relay has the tandems as far forward as possible, regardless of weight.

Mike2633 and Bob Dobalina Thank this.

Well we had a bid recently and I'm #12 unassigned out of 24. Starting tomorrow they will call everyone (unassigned drivers) in the morning in order and tell us who's doing what in the city and what time we start. Also if road dispatch needs anyone for rail or linehaul he will call us as well. Usually on Mondays they have operations manager in road dispatch and he likes to call us as early as 5 am on Monday, so I guess I gotta go to bed early tonight. I'll give him a call in the morning and see if he has anything for me. Lately we had a lot of rails going to NJ rail yard so hopefully he will have some tomorrow as well. I'm sick and tired of dealing with straight truck BS in the residential places. They should just hire Class B drivers for that. I didn't spend all that money to be a box truck driver.

Wouldn't mind some double turn rail to NJ. That's an easy 10 hour job. Even Hagerstown MD meet run would be nice, usually we get a via to Newark NJ hub.

My hub is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

If you've got 12 underneath you, can't you just kick the straitjob crap to a junior driver?

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

Do what now? There's no rule at FXF about moving tandems, AFAIK. And we have 4 long cars that go to a Tandems Back Or Else customer.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.
