    I want to share this issue.
    Mainly bc i have about 30 hrs of shop time now in solving the problem and still no fix ... the actual issue i'll explain in 1st reply !

    Ok about
    5 weeks ago my drive line when from blue to yellow and stopped recording miles travelled.
    The info red triangle states when i stop the VIR sensor ok and the time on that is when i stop.
    Tachometer and speedometer periodically would fail then start again.
    Transmission sensor been replaced
    Wiring harness replaced
    All power cables battery to starter replaced.
    Now a new unit itself was just installed.
    If anyone else has experienced this i sure could use to know what fixed it.

    My issue is it activates the airbag light on this Volvo. Had it in all over and advanced it up to secondary tech's, still don't have an answer other than it's NOT the truck. Replaced harness and unit but still the same. Omnitracs just shrugs their shoulders. We don't make a bad product they say, it's like dealing with Michelin.

    They "Omnitracs" told our shop foreman that if i don't do the VIR the proper way it wouldn't record miles.
    Oh really ?
    Explain to me then why my VIR is accepted ever day and every post trip accepted also , and i will move 300 + miles then it stops working ?

    did you ever resolve this? just curious because twice mine has taken a dump, screen blacks out and resets, unresponsive, it kept me on line 3 for the 3 days i was home, so naturally it showed hos violation, then i got it fixed at a shop, log dept was freaking out demanding a explanation, wanted me to take a log test etc. even told them qualcom took a dump, using paper. it was a mess
