I'm going to Maverick orientation in a few months, I'm due for a new pair of prescription glasses and was wondering if I should get prescription safety glasses. Does Maverick provide safety glasses/goggles that fit over regular glasses?

    No. I use shooting glasses

Revision Z87 shaded brown for lenses (*Actually closer to pink, I have no name for this color, but you will know it when see it) The outer shield will take pretty much brass, nickel, shells etc. The inner lenses have their own tempered or shatter proof treatment. So for that to fail, it will have to be at the right angle and speed which is possible with anything.

I also keep a set of over glasses sunshades. The lenses are treated by a sort of a shrink wrap layer so that if it wanted to shatter, it will not be able to.

When we get into the really expensive stuff for industrial safety, let me know.

Call Maverick and see what they provide.

You can go to any big hardware store, safety store, welding supply, Rural King, or whatever, and find ANSI approved safety glasses.

Or you can take the advice of a guy who no longer can drive a car, let alone a CMV, and wear shooting glasses.

it won't hurt to have prescription safety as a lot of places require safety glasses to load or unload

Or, for just $29.95 plus S+H he can order his own TACTICAL glasses, just like SEALs wear.

But wait, there's more... if he orders now, he can get a second pair of TACTICAL glasses at no charge, just pay the S+H.

Me, I've got prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses, prescription safety glasses, contacts (both single and multifocal in both daily and monthly), regular safety glasses, regular sunglasses and reading glasses... sadly, none of them TACTICAL.

I just hate looking through too many lenses.
