Screenshot_20190214-192023~2.png just saw this ad on my Facebook feed. I bet they are targeting NEMF drivers. No idea why I'm seeing it. Google and Facebook trackers are something

As smart as the former Beatle is, I’m sure he wants nothing to do with trucking. He’s better off making music, even at 77 years old.

I know they run a lot of day cabs.
They might have sleepers too, I just don't recall seeing them.
I'd assume a majority of their work is inner city NYC, Boston, Philly. The main terminal is in Newark/Elizabeth by the airport. I'm guessing the guy I saw was a line hauler trying to get back from Pittsburgh/Ohio before his personal car got locked behind the fence.

NEMF pretty much was a mega. They were close to the size of USA Truck but they didn't get out of the NE much. A few years ago NYCE (New York Carolina Express) folded and rumor was that's where Amazon bought all their trailers.

So that's two major Northeast trucking companies down. Darn right New Penn is hiring. There's millions of $ in uncovered lanes up here.

    Maybe a trucking song?

I don't think this is as bad as Arrow just disappearing. This looks like the people at the top looked at the costs and the income and said, "screw it."

What the Bronx bartender on Capital Hill fails to understand is, business people (rich people) don't have access to their own private printing press. No profit? No company.

they were also in Indiana, Ohio. and Puerto Rico.

they "spread out" a bit over the years.

they did indeed have sleeper trucks. some guys stayed out either a couple of nights, or the entire week, being home on saturday mornings.

You do if you file chapter 7. Nothing the company owns belongs to them anymore at that point. It all belongs to the creditors.

Fuel cards are either funded by a cash account, or by a line of credit. If you file chapter 7 all credit automatically stops, and any cash balances now belong to the company's creditors.

Well I meant as far as a trucking company is a little more complicated than a cubicle office in a single building.

You could "padlock the yard" but there might be 20 tractors and 50 trailers spread out all over the country.

Could an ambitious individual take the tractor they had "offsite" to a shady mechanic and start selling parts on eBay? Well, I don't think they'd admit it publicly.

Not the first time. Others will pick up freight and Drivers. Too bad for employees, but Drivers will survive.Meanwhile last paychecks will be fought over with creditors. Lucky to get pennies on the dollar if anything at all. Trucks, freight , all up for grabs by anyone willing to take the chance. Owners will probably be back in bussiness soon, different name no Union. Not a common thing these days, but nothing new to Trucking. I wish Employees and their families the best.

They were also in the Chicago area. Didn't they have a flatbed division under a different name?
