they actually just called me and did the phone interview today with a conditional employment offer, so I guess as long as their happy with my mvr, background check, drug test etc I go to Bentonville Mar 18th, so I figure by the 1st they should have all their info they need and I can confirm everything before I give notice, that works for me

 

If anything, i think its the other way around. But i guess a trainer could come up with a reason why he wouldnt sleep in his own truck.

 

You’re going to spend the first day just being evaluated on what you know and can do, the second day you will be given instruction on each of the 3 tests(backing, pretrip and roadtest) and a second evaluation. Third is test day. All three days you will also have classroom orientation to break everything up. On Thursday, they will split up the group into those who have passed and those who still need further help. I was in the group that passed and we were out and done around 10:30. For my own knowledge, the ones that didn't initially pass and were put into another group, were they sent home or given more instruction and another opportunity to pass?

 

From Tuesday on, trainers stayed late and would work with people that were having issues with any of the tests. Most, if not all of them bent over backwards to help people that had any problems..they aren’t there to send you home. There were a few guys sent home, but most of them either had stuff pop up on background checks or had bad attitudes.

 

What test do you have on the third day? Is it to see how much you learned in the previous two days?
Probably my biggest issue is that i`ve been driving an auto for the last 5 years & i`ll have to get back in the groove driving manual again.
