Will try to get better videos this weekend. First one is with just starting the truck. Cold start in the am. And its noisy back on the bed.
Second one is next day, IAC Sensor unplugged. Truck did not smoke as bad. Plus sounds better at startup. Does not miss on a cylinder with it unplugged.

Yep that first video. Just like my truck did. It sounded like i was shaking a bag of marbles and it would fart and buck and snort at the same time. While the cloud of smoke would slowly surround the truck, like the rolling fog in a cheap thriller movie.

At ten and colder white smoke is normal
Nothing embarrassing there at all. IN fact where I come from in time long ago you needed that information give by the smoke to tell you how your engine is doing and also where the engine is under the driver in front who just made a shift loaded while you are considering a shift of your own. Where he ends up on smoke after his #### will help you decide on yours or not.
You are supposed to be light blue cold until 180 water, then light white at 10 and below.
Anything else denotes possibly a problem. It's to be evaluated. -
So I may have a problem?
It was 8°. I was having a lot of white smoke, so a friend suggested an injector cleaner and it seemed to help. It cleaned it up a lot.

Black smoke usually indicates unburnt diesel fuel
Blue smoke usually means your burning oil
And white smoke that lasts a few seconds after startup is usually condensation in the fuel lines.
Think of the color of the vapor when you boil water.
If the smoke is constant, meaning longer than a few seconds after startup and as thick as it seems in those videos, you could very well be burning engine coolant. Warped or cracked cylinder heads can cause this.
Not saying this is the solution, but more often than not it's coolant getting into the cylinder bore and being burned off with the air/fuel mixture. -
Hello. I’m new member of this website. My engine is doing same thing. When cold starts smoking white. Is overhauled with less than 2k miles after. New injectors. New turbo. New ecm. Everything is new except bull gear of timing. Still with power and sounds great. Y replaced 6952 injectors for 7650. Is 1999 dds60 12.7

I do know the older series 60's did smoke more when cold. I ran a few new ones even in the mid 90's. And they would put out white smoke when cold. But most times only last a minute and gone.
The first one around here Nov 1988, now it smoked even when running 80 MPH. First trip with it, weed burner on it. I was passing a few trucks pulling a grade. And man the smoke was thick. So pulled over at the top of the pass. To make sure I did not have issues. Just normal for that 12.7 set at 430 from the factory. But wide open at Detroit in Memphis. But she would pull for what it was.
My 11.1 still smokes when its below 40 degrees. Not a bit if its warmer then that. So I just plug it in and let the coolant warm up. Then all's good after that.
