Do you have to have Twic card for the railyard?

 

Nope. I did have to register and be fingerprinted, though.

 

I think you mostly need a twic card when going to ports. I go to CSX railyard in Nj all the time and only had to be finger printed.

 

That was my understanding as well.

 

In the past it was getting too frequent. But over time, we got phone numbers and gave phone numbers to the shippers that we deal with who ship in large volume.
And it developed that they would call us and let us know when they had a lot going out. So we would send a separate truck just to that shipper.
Mind you, we are fortunate that those shippers are less than an hour away. And in two cases we also have trucks on routes further past them, that we can bring by on their way home to clean up the left overs.
Assuming the prior driver had the sense to call in and let dispatch know what was going on.

Just got home from a 542 mile run, consisting of a double turn and via... $$$
