And a forced, five day a week job that pays $0.13 per hour. What's not to like? Also, you'll be forced to quit smoking so you can live longer..... unless of course you want to pay $175 per carton, but with the money you "might" get to keep running your two loads, you should be able to afford the smokes. :yes2557:

The best money i have found is the short loads that nobody wants to mess with. I run out to the east coast and spend most weeks dropping 5-6 loads (sometimes as many as 10) within a 200 mile radious. Even after Schneider takes their 35% cut I average around $1.65 including deadhead. You just have to be willing to really work the load board and hussle to make it.

I see a lot of those short haul loads that pay decent. Never really consider them much. Are you finding a loop to pretty much the same places or just running one place to another.

Right now I am just trying to run the the best load available. I have a load going east on right now that pays around $1.50 a mile. If I could of got motivated to leave the house earlier today I could of booked a load out Jersey back into eastern PA for $2.10 and then another short run to Conneticut that paid $1.80. I am hoping that I can find some short loads around the house since things are picking up. I just wonder if my wife could handle me being home more...
