    Is your company beard friendly?

Please post your company's facial hair policy so that we will all know what to expect if we're thinking about changing employers. If this gets enough activity maybe our awesome mods will make it a sticky.

Enterprise Transportation Co. / Enterprise Crude Oil prohibits any facial hair below the corner of the lip.

I have no facial hair policy. No pet policy. No ol' lady policy. And basically could care less if you drive around dressed up like spiderman as long as you are a quality trucker and do your job safely.

I don't know if it's the case anymore, but in the old days, some chemical plants wouldn't let drivers in with facial hair. The reason was if there was a toxic emergency, you had to put a gas mask on,and it wouldn't seal with facial hair. At least that's what the guard told me at a chemical plant in West Virginia back in the 70's.

Small company I realize, but ya never know who might be looking. I got called in for an interview years back at Wallis Lubricants in Cuba, MO. No facial hair, no tattoos below the elbow, and no hand tattoos. I was out on all accounts. Even though I didn’t make it past the lobby, they seemed like nice people!

I think it's disrespectful for a company to tell a grown man that he cannot have facial hair especially for religious purposes. Schneider is very strict on facial hair. They will actually fire you over having a little too much stubble on your face. That BS myth about amassed not sealing completely around your face is a total lie. Unless you have a big burly beard that mask will seal around your face if you have a short beard

Our company doesn't have one, but our oilfield customers do. No beard on this guy.

You could draw one on like the women that have no eye brows.

Depends on the style air supply some places still run negative pressure fresh air with that you gotta be fully sealed... postive pressure ones are not as big of a deal other then draining your supply quicker.
