First time at this location , 0530 appointment and full truck of Hershey's milk drinks .
Quick unload , paperwork took 15 minutes but lead guy apologized for delay . In , out no issues . Pleasantly surprised.

Sounds like you got lucky, a buddy of mine hauling for Fairchild in California a couple years ago told me a story about the people saying they were too busy to get to him that if he wanted to unload his own truck he could rent a pallet jack. I guess that's after he figured out how to speak Spanish because English definitely wasn't the dominant language at the facility that's for sure.

This facility seemed well manned and organized. I try to stay away from these food places but money talks .

I think a lot of food-related places have changed for the better just in the last 12-24 months. You read a lot of drivers here who are operating and avoiding based on how things worked poorly or miserably 4, 7, 10 years ago, but it's simply not as widespread as it used to be. But that's fine. We'll stay out of their current niche if they stay out of our niche.

That's not to say you won't occasionaly have an occasional long delay at a food service or food producer, but this will also happen in any trucking segment, reefer, dry, flat, bulk, or whatever.

Well, your experience there is an anomaly. I've been there a few dozen times typically with about 6-10 pallets and would consider 3 hours quick. Typically it's a 4+ hour stop for me.

The worst in that area is Sysco in Lewiston, TX..my record there is 8.5 hours.

Sysco Lewisville: I commented on this place a few years ago and a few months ago. My most recent experience was completely different than in the past. All new people there. Much more prompt service. Somebody obviously came in a cleaned out the dead wood because of their past history of complaints and rising rates to get goods delivered there.
