You and me both. How do you safely hold onto those things? I've done it twice with roofing coils, but I was certainly nervous.
Washed my truck for the first time last week. Back to dirty before the day was done. Although it's all moot now that I had a meeting between a runaway bobtail and my driver's side door yesterday at 1am.

    cke and PoleCrusher Thank this.

Protip: don't immediately get into the driver's seat when you wake up. Make sure there's no glass all over.

I've been doing this for a long time and haven't found a good way yet. I rarely do it. Maybe 5 times in 20 years lol. I made sure it was in the middle of the pile and make sure the coils are as close to identical as possible. I cross chained them before and wasnt happy with that either. This customer used to only have short forks so unloading double stacked coils were a dicey procedure too. They finally broke down and got a decent set of longer forks so l won't be putting them side by side again. Fun fun

A milling machine from overseas to Hallandale ( I think that was the name of the crane company). It was going to Raytheon in Andover, thankfully they changed it to deliver there as I got unloaded this afternoon instead of tomorrow morning. Mass was pretty quick with permits!!!
