    Hello TruckersReport!!

I am here seeking advice! I have 4 incidents on my DAC Report, & I'm no longer driving. The problem is, I'd now really like to drive 1 weekend a month for the National Guard. Also interesting in pursuing the operator's union in my state! Company I drove for never added anything to my DAC report until after terminating me. Now I've got 3 incidents & 1 termination. I've tried (several times) to dispute the claims, to no avail. The incidents? 1. Merging onto highway, an elderly woman decided to share half of the lane I was merging into as I ran out of shoulder. 2. Preventable- Got stuck in a truck turnaround just outside consignee due to there being a mound of mud in the road. 3. Unpreventable- Truck was hit at truckstop while I was at home. 4. Preventable- Knocked bumper off of dock (excessive force) & failed to report until outside consignee- (terminated for that last one)

Now I'm wondering if it's possible to opt out of the DAC report. I just don't want to support a company that refuses to take into consideration the perspectives of the drivers themselves. Any help/advice and suggestions would and will be greatly appreciated, seriously! Thank you all for donating your time to help drivers out!! I'll stick around & lend a hand myself, that's a promise!

I don't think that the National Guard checks your dac report.

But I'd assume that the operator's union or the Linesmen union would certainly check the DAC report? It's been a year. I've heard that if you wait 3 years since your last accident, you can get work, & in 7 years, everything will be erased?

    bentstrider83 Thanks this.

Only the megas report to dac

There are millions of locals that could care less about dac and don't even use it.

My complete history is on dac. I've been driving 18 years

Go local. Save yourself from reporters

A few drivers on this forum did the 5 yr. enlistment there. I was 2 years over the maximum age limit when I tried.

I had quite enough uniformed service after my stint in the Navy. I do, sometimes, miss being called Doc.

At the time I didn't think about a fake birth certificate. I think they're checking backgrounds closer now though.
As for "Doc", too many Purple Hearts in that program. One of my friends was with the Third Marine Division as a Corpsman and had a life changing event occur in Quang Tri Province, so life's been really tough for him.
Corpsman are cool people and would give penicillin shots "off the record", which may not happen these days, I don't know.
