Spent 2.5 years with the 3rd. And yes, shots for the Social Flu are still handled discreetly.

With four incidents on the DAC report I'd say it's probably worth joining the military and take some time away from the civilian world until those things disappear off your record.

the last one is 1 year old now. I'm 28. I figure if I can get into the national guard for electrical, then into a linesmen union, I'll be SET by the time I graduate my 4 year apprenticeship. DAC deletes your incidents after 7 years have passed, from what the operators I've spoke with have told me. That gives me until I'm around 35. I'll be a groundsman for a while, which is fine with me, so long as I retire behind the switchboard or in the bucket at $70-80k. :p Hopefully I can find a good woman between then and now.

Does this sound like a good plan?? Should I even renew the CDL!?!? :O

Good plan; keep the cdl current by keeping your DOT Medical Card up to date.
For the good woman, go to www.blossoms.com which is where many other truckers have found a good woman.

10 years for some. It's coming up on 30 for others ha. If you wait long enough and run locally it's not going to matter.

There is nothing on my record left with exception of Covenant from 96' orientation because they are one of 15 carriers that maintain their own private DAC style database.

Go Guard or Active or Reserve.
Talk to the recruiters for each, then do it.
...if nothing else, then 3 yrs or so , try trucking again.
Plenty of transport jobs on USAJOBS.COM require that you be at least in the guard to even apply, so thats a start. Talk to them (Guard)

national guard here!!! the guard doesn't care about your drivers records I had a guy that had his drivers license suspended due to dui and had the little blower in his car being my driver, go active learn a trade no combat arms no matter how big the bonus is or better yet go air force save some money, keep your cdl and medical card and come back big companies need drivers so bad that some of them will look the other way... I live outside fort stewart and my neighbor is a mp but drives trucks part time on the days he doesn't have duty and after work for a dump company
