Headed to CT from south, I-95 or I-287 around NYC?

    Do they still make Haz mats coming from the GWB get off at 178th st to avoid going under the apartment buildings over top of the Cross Bronx?

    i go thru there a lot; Unless there's a MAJOR accident or construction, 95 is actually faster even with congestion IMO.

    Now, if you don't mind the extra mileage, then 287 is fine.

    The other thing to consider is, on 95 the lanes on the bridges, such as GWB, are too dam narrow.

    LOL thanks for this thread. Just remembering the panhandlers on I95 near the GW was enough to make me feel better about my job. Haven't left Bama in about 6 months now, its boring but it aint the northeast!!!
