Detention clock starts now! Not in a door yet. I was told when I got here that some of the stuff going in my trailer is coming from Georgia and isn't here yet. I'm in Alabama. So not so far. I have a feeling I'll be here all night, getting paid to sleep.

 

How much detention did you get?

 

Max. $150. Appt was 1600 and I got in a door at 0500 the next morning and out by 0900.

... And still had 3000+ miles during the past 7 days.

 

Yes we do in Coon Rapids. However, it is still new and has a lot to be desired. We do NOT offer housing at this time, so it's mostly focused around local LTL and Dedicated positions out of Coon Rapids. We have taken a few OTR Drivers out of it. For more detailed information call Doug Dykstra in Coon Rapids 763-780-7544. This is his baby, he is in charge of the "school" which is more of a "dock to driver program" than an actual CDL school.
Fargo "school" is on hold for a little bit until we get things a little more organized with the one in Coon Rapids and finalize our renovations at corporate.

Stress the importance of asking a lot of questions in regards to any curriculum of any program, dock to driver or not. There are a TON of bad programs out there. Not saying Magnum is one because I have no idea, just this industry is largely based on a sink or swim mindset, and I think people would be wise to start strong.
