Non-cdl hotshot at 19?

    I know company's wont hire drivers under 21 for insurance reasons... but what if I create my own business either sole prop or llc? Would I be able to hotshot? thank you in advance.

    And how will you get insurance then? There is a reason companies cite insurance as a non hire reason.
    Here is a hint. It has to do with the astronomical cost. So much so they know they cannot make money after paying that insurance bill.

    you have to be atleast 21 to drive a commercial vehicle across state lines, that is the real reason they wont hire people under 21

    hey midget appreciate the comment, is there any way around that though, say by creating my own company? or possibly claiming that its only in state commercially? just seeing if theres any loopholes possibly. appreciate it.

    Not really. As soon as state lines are crossed the FMCSA regs kick in. There are no FMCSA exemption for less than 21 years old.

    no there is not, once you cross state lines in a commercial vehicle federal regulations take over and those regulations state that you have to be 21 or older to drive a commercial vehicle, your best bet is find a local company that will keep you in your state and get some experience driving
