Because your post was vague. Usually it’s either Zionsville or Tucker where drivers have issues(maybe once in a blue moon,Laredo if they get you in the shop).
1st time I’ve heard of Edwardsville screwing up. Did you inspect the truck before taking it out? The shop does give you a checklist to go through that your hand into the shop foreman before you either take the truck out, or refuse the truck. With the tire issues alone I would’ve refused the truck and tell them either replace the tires or find another that’s DOT compliant.

Yep, and when I 1st got it took 3 hours to get it to start At which point I told them the batteries were bad but they refused to change them because they said they checked them and they are all good. As long as the APU was running it would start, they always killed the APU when in the shop and not turn it back on when they parked it out side. The truck had dust shields on the brakes so all you can see in the inspection window is a small section of lining not the drums. Eville never pulled the wheels off to look at the drums, if they has they would have seen the spring cutting in to the hubs.

Sounds like they were short cutting to save on book hours. Or they were just plain sloppy.

Maybe, hard to say if it comes from higher up the chain or just a shop thing.

Why settle for such low pay by working yourself to death?

That's EVERYONE'S pay - in all industries, its not unique to trucking. CEO pay has skyrocketed, while the rank and file pay has stagnated.

As long as the middle class's buying power stays low, freight rates will stay low. No one can afford to buy $3 onions. Companies aren't going to take the hit, so any increases are passed on to the general public.
