Question on Mayflower Transit Policies, Practices and Procedures

8. What happens if a driver doesn't provide the customer at the destination with their paperwork so they can check their boxes?

9. What happens if the driver doesn't give the paperwork to the customer at destination even though the customer requests it?

10. what happens if the driver prevents the customer from signing the paperwork at the destination at the end of the mover?

11. What is the policy on a driver asking a customer for pain medication?

12. What is the policy on a driver bringing their child to the destination household? Is that permitted? Legal? What if the child puts thing in the homeowner's refrigerator and doesn't ask for permission?

13. What is the policy if the driver disappears during the household move and doesn't come back for a few hours?

14. Is the driver supposed to assemble outdoor patio furniture? Inside furniture?

15. What is the policy if things arrive broken and the customer says to the driver - This chair arm is broken an the driver says "it was that way when I got it" "I didn't do that"

16. What is the policy if the driver starts to hit on the homeowner, asking uncomfortable questions like "what do you do for a living" and "are you married" and "oh, that's how you can afford this house"

17. When a driver is investigated what happens? How long does it take?

Wow you do have a lot of questions. Most are common sense.

1 unigroup pulls a background every year. If this driver was convicted of these offenses he won't be a mover long. As far as assaulting a customer. I'm surprised he is still around.

2 we are supposed to be in "uniform" on the job.

3 depends on the job but usually yes.

4 we have all had uncertified labor at one point or another BUT unigroup dose require us to have certified labor that have passed a background check.

5 any time you have a COD you collecT the check before you open the doors.

6 never lost a check.

For the rest contact unigroup qualifications I'm sure they can give you all the rest of the info. But if this truly is a HHG mover, he needs to change career quick. He really is giving the rest a bad name.

BTW what agency is he with.

Thank you so much. It is very appreciated. it was a mayflower move, mayflower picked the driver. United from a southern state...appears to be an affiliate of unigroup. if they had done a background check they would have pulled the felony as it was in process for over a year prior to the assault on the customer... 5 - yup, that is what I thought. On the mayflower website it says the 4 steps of a move and that includes the customer producing the check. And, also the driver is to supply the paperwork so customer can check in the boxes, in this case he took the check, didn't provide paperwork and didn't let the customer sign off when the job was done. Customer asked for it and he gets violent. I am guessing the knew there were things missing and the customer also pointed out broken items and he didn't want to be responsible. It was clearly "off". There were witnesses and police were called. Guy should not be driving. Hesitant to say the name of the company as this guy is a violent offender and has a restraining order.

You say the felony was in proses that means he has not yet been convicted. Until he is unigroup will do nothing. We still have the rule innocent until proven guilty. As far as United being part of unigroup, they bought Mayflower back in the day and formed unigroup.

I hear you what about picking up a lot lizard and using the customers bed to entertain her.hey it’s better to ask forgiveness then permission is my policy
