I got put in an '18 T880 day cab today after the shop found a leaking DEF line on the older cascadia I been driving. The KW has the mx13, supposed to be 430hp, with a 10 speed AMT behind it. With my company already having the balls cut off the trucks, their fleet is governed at 61 or 62 depending on the truck and the transmission setup for economy this is one slow KW. This was my first time driving an AMT and I absolutely hate it, especially backing. I'm kinda curious which weighs more, '18 t880 or '13 cascadia, both day cabs. I was grossing 90k with the shaker before hooking to the container with the KW.

At least from what I read in what your company sent you, the configuration in your photo is still limited to 88,000 lbs even with a permit. Correct me if I’m misreading. I don’t think there are any exemptions to the federal bridge weight formula restrictions. You can carry that much weight, but you have to have the proper axle configuration. Did you happen to cross any scales with that load?

88k on 5 axles while not on the interstate. No greater than 80k without a permit on the interstate. With the container permit we can run up to 100k (20k an axle) on the interstate. I mainly haul from the same location with roughly a 200 mile round trip to and from the port.
