You're right Ruckie if i see a bunch of old bomber cars in the parking lot i know those drivers are not getting what they are worth , of course some guys DO want to be sure the wife has the dependable car because she usually has the babies with her

However if ALL the personal vehicles are bombers that's a red flag for sure

We drive older vehicles with as less technology as possible. I took my tahoe out for a run some 60 odd miles yesterday and it was stable. We are hunting down a slight rise in coolant on the other vehicle in temperature. In other words yes our vehicles are older but we are all over them. If they are sick and not doing well, we do whatever we can to get it solved.

We are out of the new car business. The more we see them built the way they are, the less attractive they are to us. Have you seen them lately? All those yellow and orange warning stickers and technology UGH.

A better question to ask is what kind of pressure is the company putting on the drivers where they feel the need to be in the ticket lane passing all the time going over the speed limit?

if you're judging people by thier cars, you are shallow..if you are looking inside thier cars, you're too nosey. you need not judge the people that work there, how do you know that maybe the driver is divorced several times, has to pay several child support payments, and the mortgage on a house he can't even live in anymore..?? and he's gonna be tooling around in a brand new caddy escalade..????

    please, get real.

not getting paid what they are worth..?? see above comments i made.

here's a novel idea, say that these drivers are gone over night, or for the week, and the area is either prone to theft or break ins, that the employee's fault for driving a bomber car or pick up truck.>??

so also what this is telling me, that if a driver has multiple tattoos on his arms, maybe even his face, and rides a motorbike, you also going to assume he's a Hell's Angel or Pagan..???

you guys gotta get off the judgement issues you have towards what someone owns, drives, or anything else....

We're talking about if ALL the employees can't afford vehicles that don't break down all the time
    ...the key word is ALL

Then it is most likely that means the company ALSO has old trucks that break down alot.
    ....key word is ALSO

DO This is NOT about judging people ( are you kidding ?) this about weighing in the desicion to WORK for such a company FOR it is wise to look THIS
....can you see the key words here ?

and what IF some of those parked cars, in the employee parking lot, belong to office workers, dock workers, that drive clunkers and the good cars are at home, you gonna fault them too..???

what if the parking lot is shared by another company, that is allowed to park there, and "mingle" with all the other cars, you gonna judge a whole company on that as well..????

pay attention to the equipment, and be done with it, do not judge people by what they own/drive....

i said it before, apparently NO ONE LISTENED.....a driver CAN BE A CHEAP PRINK, and buy only clunkers, and yet, live in a 48 room mansion, laughing at all you little people, living in mobile homes, double wides, apartments, condos, or under the highway overpasses...

Well i respect your opinion but this is ONLY about checking out the prospects of working for potential trucking companies.
A driver needs to know everything possible about that company before deciding to invest in that company so they don't make bad choices that may effect their future earning potential
