I don't understand the situation then.

If you truly failed the preemployment CRST test, then THEY just opened themselves to existential liability to paraphrase. You would not have done anything except gather up your #### and back on the bus home that day.

How do you know they said that? Who told you that's what they said? Many companies won't tell you why they decided not to hire you.

I reviewed this entire story thread.

Im sorry that I got involved. There are just too many questions coming out of the woodwork in my mind on almost every little thing.

In my day for a fact we were as newbies given old wore out trucks to break while we learned. If we did not break anything and more better, showed good things by cleaning them things nice you might get a better truck inside of 6 months if they had one.

There was some exceptions. Hahn Transport in New Market issued me a mack R that when I finally got it all clean and drove it a little bit I fell in love with that thing. Sure they had pete day cabs and later the new international eagles. But I was not interested in those. Just the Pete at some point after the Mack days. I did not get to stay with them very long anyway. I did that to myself with high dollar newbie idiot damage to another company truck.

The story you have read is true.

Some of the facts have been changed to protect the guilty.

    Oh sure. I say so.

The so called legalization among some of the states has caused a real problem. Not necessarily a problem. IF someone is told it's alright to publicly purchase a few handfuls of Sour and go home to smoke and enjoy it without fear of arrest and abuse, that person is going to climb into a big rig with the idea that maybe they can go to Colorado for a few days and REALLY chill out with some excellent stuff.

No wonder our companies have gone crazy administering drug test. You should see the quarterly test I am given as a pain patient, it's 800 dollars all together worth of tests including alcohol and smoking including pot. IF any of that was in there, I would be banned from that clinic.

Don't forget there is a bill originated in the US Senate to legalize the Pot. Then there will be a wave of people quitting no tolerance trucking companies to embrace those companies that tolerate anything legal and don't test for much beyond lip service to the DOT.

I'll be ###### if stoned drivers run my family over on that big road out there.

Ok first, even if collected on site, even CRST has to follow the law. It has to go through an MRO. What will have happened is you popped hot. The MRO will have contacted you. He will have explained the hot result and given you the chance to explain, i.e. legal prescriptions. He then should have told you about the 72 hour split sample retesting. This happen outside of CRST's control, and even knowledge.

That did happen, and to say it did not, does not help up help you.

Now that that happened, you actually cannot drive at all. Not 10 years, but at all. To be able to drive a CMV you will have to complete a substance abuse program. You should have gotten a list.

Now, if you want help we can and are usually willing to, but we need the truth to do so.

Now that said, did you do any FMCSA restricted drugs in the six months before getting your CDL?
If so, when did you stop using?

Out of all the things that megas make up , im almost positive they wouldnt make up a failed drug test, so they fired you because u failed a drug test and then they informed your new employer that you failed a drug test and your new employer fired you cuz u failed a drug test, seems resonable to me

I don't see any way to resolve this issue unless you hire a lawyer who will demand CRST produce the "failed" drug test results or remove/stop informing other companies of your "failed" drug test. This issue involves you. If it's not important enough for you to hire a lawyer and pursue it, it's clearly not important to others not having this issue to start some sort of petition. BTW, a petition doesn't change anything, it just puts a name on a list. Some lawyers, if your case is clear enough, will take your case in exchange for a portion of whatever money you could win in a lawsuit. Contact an attorney and at least find out how much it would cost for him to send a letter to CRST on your behalf. Many of us advise newbies to avoid having any contact with certain companies because they are low-life companies. But once someone ignores the warning signs and climbs over the fence around the alligator pond, getting rescued or having your leg sewed back on is more work than some of us want to do.

    Good luck.
