So ive gotten my free dac report and it looks good to me...but how do i view my psp and do employers care much about it? What exactly is on a psp?

Your PSP report shows all of your inspections going back 2 or 3 years. I not sure which one it is. Get yours at: Pre-Employment Screening Program

I would.
Personally I am nothing anywhere except Covenant because they keep with cooperation from 15 other Megas literally their own private DAC. Theoretically sins on that database will haunt you forever. Im not welcome at Covenant for life and the reasons for that is pretty epic. But in the end it's just a orientation that should never have happened.
If you have access to information impacting your CDL, go get it, get after it right quick.CruzControhl and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -

A few carriers will ask that you produce this along with the application process. I'm not sure if they can DEMAND to see this. My understanding is
- your PSP history does not carry over to a new carrier driving job, just history you develop while with the carrier has positive/negative effects on that same carrier.
- a Carrier is not supposed to be able to pull driver PSPs (is this correct, anyone?)
But a PSP that has numerous clean inspections can not hurt to be provided along with your resume or application, however if your PSP has a lot of negative points on it, it's best to keep that to yourself.CruzControhl Thanks this. -

Reading more, I find that pre-employment screening and gathering of PSP data CAN ONLY be done after a very specific "PSP Disclosure and Authorization Form' is signed by the prospective driver. So, NO, they can't just willy-nilly go around pulling PSPs of random prospective drivers.

Companies are encouraged to get a psp report for prospective drivers. But any company has to use the FMCSA-provided disclosure and authorization form to obtain the driver's consent before they can get it.
Also the report is not carrier specific. If you have worked for 1 company or 10 companies in the last 3 years all of your inspections will be on there.KB3MMX, CruzControhl, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
PSP holds 3 years as 3 years is when they delete.
I like to order mine so I know what I"m still looking at for that 3 years. And when they'll delete.
Companies DO pull up your PSP as they want to know your score that WE can't see. Some companies won't hire you if you have too many points. As far as the company goes, though. It's only 2 years for them.
It's probably only long haul that cares about your PSP and DAC though. I don't think any locals really care. None in my state anyways.
AS for comparing application disclosure. I can't recall every being asked about past inspections or if I've ever been OOS.
I've got 1 inspection with 3 violations. It'll be gone in 4 weeks and I'll have a clean record once again. It's my only log book I've ever gotten. In almost 18 years.Last edited: Mar 17, 2019
