Could be big name brand tires too. Trust me at this point I've tried them all and sometimes the big name brand come out with a new tire design that's worse than a Chinese tire. I'm not saying a Chinese tire is a good tire but they have improved and at half the price they're worth another shot

I saw an O/O at a company terminal once...he had 8 brand new drive tires on his truck (still had the nipples on them...BRAND stinking new), and he was raving about the great deal he got on them. I noticed 2 of them were different...not the same brand. I asked him about it...why he didn't buy 8 matching tires. Turns out, 2 of them had already blown and had to be replaced...again...within 150 miles. One took out his 1/4 fender. The other ripped off a mudflap. So now, for what he had in 10 tires AND a 1/4 fender AND a mudflap & bracket, he could've bought a set of 8 name-brand tires. He still had 6 of the grenades on there waiting for their opportunity to blow, along with the other 2 off-brand china-crap gambles.

Heck of a deal he got.

Agree with post #13 & what ever happened to looking for Made in America? We all want people supporting OUR business, yet have people trying to find cheaper than Chinese tires now. Seriously?

Sailun's have wore very well on my dads 93 ill grab some pics they have just over 140k on them. We run Yokohama on steers.

The double coin H rated steers on the 99 on the other hand are absolute crap. Were getting Yokohama steers when they wear out. You can tell just by looking they're out of round. Don't cheap out on your steers

Are you looking for cheap or are you looking for the best price? The cheap Chinese tires have been known to not run out true and cause vibrations.

The double coins were on the 99 when we bought it last summer. 11r24.5 H rated. Feels like square tires lol. They won't be on too much longer. Chinese Sailun on the drives have been good quality and have wore evenly. Maybe we just got lucky

Tires-easy.com might be worth looking at.

I think it’s hit or miss. My cousin started running Chinese drive tires on their farm trucks because the gravel tears them up no matter what. Just put 16 in their 2 trucks (not sure what brand) and one truck is fine and the other has a vibration now. Swapped the wheels/tires onto the other truck and the vibration was there. So he broke them all down, made sure the bead set perfectly on them, put them back on the truck, and there was a vibration. Luckily the truck they’re on mostly sees gravel roads hauling hay and such, so they’re going to live with it. But if it was on your average highway truck or would be a nightmare to deal with.

I would rather convince you to not put cheap rubber on your truck. I’ve gone both routes and experience has made me a firm believer in putting on the best tires you can buy. It’s the old ounce of prevention thing, and it’s just your life.
