I was just in this area 1 1/2 weeks ago on my way to California, specifically at the Pilot across from the Sapp Bros truck stop on IA/NE Route 2. Never would I have guessed that they would be dealing with flooding a few days later because at the time I was there, temps were frigid (single digits without the wind chill)!

Been Monitoring flooding situation here in Arkansas for weeks took a run to Lonoke with the Tahoe last week and found the water to be rather high up towards the defenses of town and the levees protecting I-40 and US 70. We expect a little more rain later but don't know if it will be heavenly showers or hellfire and damnation sideways ruin.

Just drove on I-280 in the Moline, IL area and there was flooding along the river up and around the homes along the highway. If the river was a few feet higher it would be up on the interstate.
That's the first time I've seen any real flooding in almost five years of driving.
