I picked up on Thursday and my loaded trailer was crooked and the rear was against another old trailer that never moves. This was at a customer. Bad thing is the yard dogs are employed by my company. SMH

I pick up reefer and made sure it was working fine. I made two test runs on it before dropping it at the shipper "Tyson". The next day I get a call from the DM that Tyson said it was not working!
My conclusion "Yard dogs" they just don't care! They bang backwards in to it very hard shaking the whole trailer, drop it like trash and much less care to properly start the system! And who gets blame "The driver that drop it off".o_O

Well, Friday I got a nice little surprise... my LUL became a Drop and figure it out later... so they just let me bobtail home for a couple days.

Home Time has been a bit goofy lately but it was nice to get an unplanned swing by the house.

Do we have any places in FL that has empty trailers? I assume they might send me right back to pick up the same trailer after it’s empty.

    Silverdriver Thanks this.

Yup... ended up east of ATL picking up an empty at a Publix.

    650 miles of bobtailing today.
Will be nice to be under a trailer again.

Silverdriver, JoeyJunk and Finfn1372 Thank this.

I have to admit that dropping the trailer and parking my bobtailed Truck in my driveway was a nice change to having to be shuttled back and forth to my Truck during home time.

I might need to look into a secure option for dropping my trailer during every home visit.

    Silverdriver Thanks this.

For those drivers that don't know...
If you are bringing a load through or into "Oregon" when going through there weight scales; you must have the truck license plate in a position that's visible to them!
Today a very nice DOT officer pointed that out to me at the scale and let me off with a verbal warning. He ask me to please pass this information to Abilene which I did. Maybe next time it will be you and it might be a different DOT officer that feels like giving you a ticket.

Got my warning ticket about that 6 weeks ago. Called into safety and was told we know, we’re sending a fleetwide message out about that. Have you seen that message? I haven’t. Oh, the ticket is $265.
