Doesn’t everyone wear a seatbelt these days?

I don’t see it happening. First automonus car killed someone the ceo bailed out. He wouldn’t of bailed if it was still possible. He knows the hoops this thing is going to have to go through and that’s just a car not a 80k heavy regulated commercial vehicle.

They can only drive in straight lines. For everything else youd need a driver.

Self-driving trucks are already on the roads, and in Florida have made runs with no human in the cab.

Until you educate yourself, you are speaking from ignorance.

It is already happening. Truth doesn't have to be validated by ignorance.

Got any proof of that? All I'm finding is tests with a driver, or a closed test track.

You claim to be educated on the subject, but you misrepresent what actually happened. Yes some companies have made tests in Florida and several other states on highways, but all had people in the trucks and it's not being done on a regular basis. Maybe YOU should educate yourself before speaking from ignorance. These development companies pull these stunts to raise money, but none of them are close to selling their technology to freight carriers for regular use. They're years away from that.

It’s gonna be hard adapting an autonomous vehicle to a non-autonomous network. Many metro areas will not be autonomous friendly
