Im considering going to drive for an owner OP with landstar and I have a few questions.. he's offering 40% of his cut, which comes out to 26% of the rate.
    1. Does their freight pay well enough to be able to make decent money at that rate?
    2. Can you negotiate the rate with the agents, or is it like Schneider where the rate is set and you can take it or leave it?
    3. How much of the freight is drop and hook vs live.

Just get a $20000 truck and sign on to LS and keep it all. I see a lot of well used tractors pulling LS.

@DFS INC do you let drivers choose their loads?

I live in Wichita,ks. The big thing that made me want to drive for this BCO is the fact that he gives the freedom to choose your own loads. Im currently a company driver with a company out of st Louis making 50 cpm. I just want the freedom of choosing where I go.
