So I applied a few days ago and already got called.... Decided I better Google some reviews.... Seems you guys are down to earth folks with true intent to help... With that said... What is this talk of 5/2, 5/3, 6/3 shading 2 trucks? I have never done local work so I don't get the lingo.... And it seems you bid for shifts? Also anyone know what it's like at the Grove City, OH DC?
And seems like pay is goofing... Meaning something I'm not use to but a fast learner, what would be an avg mileage week (as I see .46-.56/mile low for trucking in general - at least with my experience). I don't mind learning a specific way of doing things so I'm not worried about that, but I'm not dancing and getting motion sickness... I applied to WM to get home more... I'm not happy with being gone for 3 weeks and only making $2500. I don't mind $2500 a month, but should be home almost every day for that... They told me I have to relocate which the application said that as well so I expected that...
With that said, can I get a breakdown of a single slow day of pay compared to a good day? I saw the photo of the drop/arrive/hook, so don't need to explain those specifics, but what do you mean by ADP as well... Sorry for all the requests of info. But I'm cautious as if I continue to do this, I am throwing down like $10k just to move my family, want to make sure it's worth it, as I've read horrid reviews of changes that have very recently happened and claim to continue coming with company drivers. Of course I use my own discernment in regards to those bad reviews and know there are two buns to every burger or two sides to every coin....

Then stay where you're at then.

I'm not happy with being gone for 3 weeks and only making $2500. I don't mind $2500 a month, but should be home almost every day for that

I make a little over 3 times that monthly. Yes on .5175/mile

They told me I have to relocate which the application said that as well so I expected that...
Make sure you actually get hired first. You'll have to go to Lauren's orientation and prove you're able to drive and qualify

saw the photo of the drop/arrive/hook, so don't need to explain those specifics, but what do you mean by ADP as well... Sorry for all the requests of info.
Average days pay. Includes all mileage, activities and other payments layover etc.

You can do really well with all the accessorial pay along with your mileage pay: don’t sweat it! You will make good $$$$ with Walmart.. They are demanding and you will have a lot of rules to follow; but, it can be a great career for someone who applies themselves: is committed to safety; and does what is expected! Good Luck and Best Wishes! :)

Thank you all for input. I'm not worried about getting the job at all. I'm a tech guy and don't mind rules that may seem silly. That's just a temporary learning curve to make additional acceptance for potentially more interactions with the "stupid". I do enjoy the banter here and from that alone have learned a lot more than I did before applying. Had no clue the pay scale was setup like that for example. So with the mile restrictions of 250 of the terminal, that's some serious driving to go back and forth to work... Are ever home everyday? How frequently do shift bids occur?

bids just finish. just practice the 45 degree and the rainbow backing. just dont be ####y and act like a super trucker. they send those home. plus they are very keyed on pretrip and postrip. but of all do what they say. and do your post trip of pass side first
